Man Shot Outside Concert At Save Mart Center

Police say a man was injured in a gang-related shooting outside a rap concert Thursday night at the Save Mart Center in Northeast Fresno.

The shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. in the north parking lot.

Fresno State Police Chief David Huerta said rival gang members got into an argument during the MMG concert featuring Rick Ross.

Security guards stepped in and escorted 10 to 15 people out of the Save Mart Center.

The argument continued in the parking lot, and that's where Huerta says someone pulled out a gun and opened fire.

A man was hit in the leg. He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center and is expected to be okay.

Six people were detained for questioning, and one person was arrested for violation of felony probation.

Huerta said a gun was recovered at the scene.
